A Contemplative Interactive Lenten Art Exhibit
Open by Appointment
First UMC Annex 602 S. Adams St., Marion
First UMC welcomes Sujatha Elizabeth Balasundaram to share an interactive exhibit which will help us to “Journey with Jesus” throughout the month of March. This exhibit includes artwork as visual cues and interactive participation for contemplation over some of the events of the last weeks of Jesus’ life on earth. You may view each “station” all at once or pace it throughout the Lenten period.

We’ll be hosting the Fiberhawk annual Easter Egg hunt again this year. If the weather is nice, we’ll be out back; and if it’s raining, we’ll be in Fellowship Hall. Plenty of prizes, goodies for the kids, and, of course, the Easter Bunny will be there! See Cheryl Stanley for ways you can help.

Good Friday Worship Service on April 3rd at 5:30 p.m.
We have invited First UMC to worship with us for a solemn time of reflection, prayer, and penance to recognize Jesus’ crucifixion and death.
Voting Location in May and November
Our church will be hosting the primary and general election voting in Fellowship Hall. More to come on this, along with some volunteer needs.
Herbstumc.org – Updates
If you haven’t been to our site, it continues to get mildly better. First, the Events page has been kept current, and it can be a good place to go to see all the events we currently have. Most recently, we’ve posted all the 2025 Sunday School lessons on the “Downloads” page. Want to get involved and show off your web skills? See Tom Marine, who is looking for help to make our site a great resource.
Let’s Pray
See an opportunity to pray … then pray. At an event? Pray. Comforting someone? Pray. You don’t have to make a spectacle of yourself … you can even pray silently. If you haven’t heard from someone in a while … given ‘em a call. Pray. Let’s all try to make this a practice that comes naturally and genuinely. Let’s pray.
